Kyle Allen To Start Against Giants
4 years agoWashington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera said that quarterback Kyle Allen (arm), who was replaced by Alex Smith in the Week 5 loss to the Rams because of an arm injury, practiced on Wednesday and will start in Week 6 against the Giants. Smith will remain as Allen's backup this Sunday, with Dwayne Haskins Jr. serving as the No. 3 for the second straight week after being demoted from the starting job. Washington has declined to say whether they are looking to trade Haskins, the 15th overall pick in 2019, but multiple sources said there's been no formal trade request from Haskins nor has a team called about Haskins' availability. Even though the Giants are 0-5, they've allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to QBs this year, making Allen a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues for his second start of the season.
