Deebo Samuel Is A WR3 Option In Week 5
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel made his 2020 debut last week against the Philadelphia Eagles. Samuel suffered a broken foot over the summer and began the season on Injured Reserve. Samuel wasn't used heavily in Week 4, seeing just 25 snaps, but he caught all three of his targets for 35 yards and added a 10-yard rush. This week, Samuel should see his workload increase against a Miami Dolphins team that's allowing 285 passing yards per game this year, the fifth-most in the league. The 49ers could also have starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) back under center in the game. Expect Samuel to see at least five or six targets in Week 5, making him a solid WR3 option.
