Brandon Aiyuk A Solid WR3 In Week 5
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has begun to break out with touchdowns in each of his last two games. This week, the 49ers face a Miami Dolphins team that is allowing 285 passing yards per game, the fifth-most in the league. The 49ers could see the return of Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) in the game as he has returned to practice on a limited basis this week. Garoppolo's presence would certainly give a boost to all 49ers pass-catchers. While Deebo Samuel is still projected to be the team's No. 1 receiver this year, Samuel was held to just 25 snaps in his Week 4 debut and will likely continue to be eased back in. Aiyuk, meanwhile, led all 49ers receivers with 64 snaps last week. Expect for Aiyuk to earn around eight targets in Week 5, making him a great option as a WR3.
