Jerick McKinnon A Solid Play In Week 5
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jerick McKinnon has turned in two straight solid performances as the team's No. 1 back. He's compiled over 150 total yards and two touchdowns over the past two weeks. This week, the 49ers appear somewhat likely to have Raheem Mostert (knee) back on the field. Mostert was the team's clear No. 1 back to start the year, seeing 15 carries compared to just three for McKinnon in Week 1. The 49ers have a great matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 5. The Dolphins have allowed 409.8 total yards per game this year, the sixth-most in the league. If Mostert plays, McKinnon's upside is lowered, but he's still a low-end RB2 or high-end flex option. If Mostert remains out, McKinnon is a must-start RB2.
