No Practice For Julio Jones Wednesday
4 years agoAtlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) was not at practice on Wednesday after aggravating his hamstring injury in the Monday night loss to the Packers. Jones came down awkwardly during a tackle in Week 4 and didn't return to the game after halftime. On a short week, the 31-year-old All-Pro wideout will be fighting an uphill battle to play against the division-rival Panthers. Jones will need to at least get in a limited practice either Thursday or Friday to have a shot at playing. As of right now, we'd plan as if Jones wasn't going to play this week. Calvin Ridley, Russell Gage and Olamide Zaccheaus should operate in three-receiver sets if Jones misses another game, with Christian Blake also being sprinkled in. Ridley is a must-start despite putting up a donut on Monday, while Gage and Zaccheaus are merely dart-throw flexes in deeper formats.
