George Springer Carries Astros To Game 2 Win
4 years agoHouston Astros center fielder George Springer went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three runs batted in to carry the Astros to a 5-2 win over the A's in Game 2. October has belonged to Springer the past few seasons as the 30-year-old continues to dominate in the postseason. Springer hit a two-run bomb in the third inning to get Houston on the board and added a solo shot in his next at-bat. The slugger now has 16 career home runs over his last 48 playoff games played with 30 runs batted in during that stretch. He will carry a lifetime OPS of .943 in the playoffs into Game 3.
