Abraham Ancer possesses the ideal skill set to succeed at The Open Championship. He is one of the most accurate players off the tee and has gained strokes in that metric in seven of his last eight events on the PGA Tour. He moved over to the LIV Tour in late June and teed it up at the Portland event, finishing 11th with a three-round score of one-under par. Although Ancer's skill set matches the skills required to play The Open, he has not experienced success at the event. He has played The Open Championship three times, making the cut just once. He also did not play last week at the Scottish Open, so we have not seen him play on a links course in a competitive round in over a year. He is fairly priced in DFS and won't attract much ownership given the players priced around him. Ancer seems like a great fit for links golf, but his lack of success at The Open is worrisome.

Abraham Ancer will play his fourth U.S. Open this week. His best finish at this event is a 49th place finish in 2019. Ancer missed the cut last year losing strokes in every key metric except on approach. Ancer's will need to improve his recently approach play if he wants to contend in Brookline. The Mexico native has lost strokes on approach in four of his last five events. With his poor history at this event and current form, it may be best to fade Ancer and look for other options.

Abraham Ancer should be a strong DFS play and betting option this week at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Ancer is coming off a top ten finish at the PGA championship, where he gained over four and a half strokes on approach. If the approach play continues, his game should set up nicely for Colonial Country Club. The Texas native is one of the most accurate drivers on tour and this week's course will require strong accuracy off the tee. The 31-year-old has also gained strokes putting in five of his last six measured events. All signs point to a big week from the former Oklahoma Sooner.

Abraham Ancer will be a fade this week at the PGA Championship. The Mexican's game has not been sharp this year as he has failed to finish inside the top-20 in any event in 2022. The 31-year-old has last strokes around the green in six of his last seven events, a statistic that should be key in succeeding this week. While Ancer's accuracy of the tee continues to be a strength, the rest of his game is not dependable enough to rely on this week
