4 years agoStewart-Haas Racing's Aric Almirola was involved in an accident and finished in the 37th position in Sunday's YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Almirola came into Talladega, looking to move up in the playoff standings, and the No. 10 car looked to be a true contender. Almirola led nine laps and was on his way to winning the first stage when he was turned on the backstretch on lap 58. The No. 88 of Alex Bowman got a push from Joey Logano and got to the high side of Almirola, turning him around and triggering a multi-car wreck. Almirola's damage was too much to continue, and his amazing streak of eight straight top-10 finishes at Talladega was broken.--John Pitucci - RotoBaller
