BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 18% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The injury bug is no joke this year, and another running back that fell victim to an injury in Week 3 was Chris Carson. This was a more disturbing injury as Cowboys defensive tackle Trystan Hill took him down and rolled his leg, which was totally uncalled for. Either way, Carson had an MRI on his knee and it appears to be a sprain, but his status for Week 4 at Miami is in question. Carlos Hyde is now with the Seahawks and he'll likely be the next man up if Carson does in fact miss time.
Last week Hyde stepped in and saw just four carries for 12 yards with one reception for another 11 yards. The only other guys in Seattle are Travis Homer and rookie DeeJay Dallas, who has yet to make his debut for the Seahawks.
Hyde comes into play only if Carson does in fact miss this game against the Dolphins. If Carson does play, don't even bother with Hyde despite the juicy matchup against the Dolphins where the Seahawks will likely be putting up plenty of points. Carson is currently the RB8 in PPR scoring leagues and the RB11 in standard-scoring leagues, and as long as he's active he'll see his typical 15-20 touches. If he misses time and Hyde is the starter, he immediately comes into the RB2 discussion for Week 4 thanks to this matchup.
If you're in 12+ team leagues or deeper, Hyde is someone worth keeping an eye on whether you own Carson or not. I wouldn't burn a bunch of FAAB or waste waiver wire priority on him, but stay up to date on the status of Carson and if he misses, Hyde will be a nice pickup this week.
