Paulo Costa (14-3) is set to face Sean Strickland in the co-main event of UFC 302 on Saturday. The bout will be a five-round fight despite it not being for the belt. Costa is coming off a decision loss to Robert Whittaker which ended his year-long layoff after he beat Luke Rockhold by decision. Heading into his UFC 302 fight, Costa is the underdog as DraftKings has him at a salary of $7,400. In the UFC, Costa is 6-3 with four of his wins by knockout while he's only been finished in one of the losses. If Costa pulls off the upset he would likely be a win away from a title shot.

Paulo Costa fell to 14-3 as a pro with a hard-fought decision loss to Robert Whittaker in the co-main event of UFC 298 on Saturday. With just seconds left in the first round, Costa landed a spinning wheel kick that put Whittaker on wobbly legs, but he couldn't get the finish. Costa was outstruck in the second and third rounds and dropped an entertaining and competitive fight. Despite the loss, the Brazilian proved he still is a top-10 and possibly a top-five middleweight.

Paulo Costa (14-2) is set to take on Robert Whittaker in the co-main event of UFC 298, which is his first fight since August of 2022 when he beat Luke Rockhold by decision. Since that fight, Costa has had a contract dispute and then dealt with an infection which has kept him on the sidelines. The Brazilian enters his fight as the underdog as DraftKings has him at a salary of $7,200, and in his eight-fight UFC tenure, he's averaged 82.44 fantasy points per fight. Should Costa gets past Whittaker, the Brazilian has said he wants a title shot.

In need of a rebound victory, Paulo Costa earned it in the biggest way on Saturday by earning a unanimous decision over a former champion while picking up fight-of-the-night honors along the way in the co-main event of UFC 278. In 15 minutes of action, Costa tallied 73 significant strikes (106 total strikes), out-striking his opponent Luke Rockhold, who tallied only 57 total strikes. This keeps Costa in the title talks, and with another win, he could find himself facing off against Israel Adesanya if Adesanya remains the champion.
