Alex Verdugo Sitting Out Season Finale
4 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo (hamstring) is sitting out the team's season finale against the Atlanta Braves. Tzu-Wei Lin is getting the start in right field while Jackie Bradley Jr. is leading off in the game. Verdugo was dealing with hamstring tightness over the past few weeks, but still mostly managed to play through it. The injury isn't anything significant. The team is mainly keeping him out as a precaution. Verdugo wraps up 2020 with a .308/.367/.478 slash line to go along with six home runs, 15 RBI, 36 runs and four stolen bases.
