Denny Hamlin Has Rough Record At Las Vegas
4 years agoJoe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin will start from the 10th position in Sunday night's South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Hamlin and the No. 11 team have six wins on the year, but they struggled in the opening round of the playoffs, failing to score a top-10 finish in all three races. Unfortunately for Hamlin, it doesn't get any easier as he heads to LVMS. In 17 career starts at the 1.5-mile track, Hamlin has just two top-fives and seven top-10 finishes. Hamlin has only led 18 total laps at the track and has finished outside of the top-10 in four of the last five events. Hamlin's salary in DFS is one of the highest, and given his recent struggles, along with his poor track record, Hamlin is a driver to avoid for this race.
