Anthony Rendon Has Hits In Six Of Last Seven Games
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon is slashing .308/.419/.538 over his last seven games heading into the team's finals series of the season against the Dodgers. Rendon will not be playing in the postseason in 2020 but enjoyed an excellent first season in an Angels uniform. After overcoming a slow start in July due to a strained oblique, Rendon has bounced back with a .289 average with eight home runs, 11 doubles and 28 runs batted in over his last 47 games. The 30-year-old has hits in six of his last seven games but, strangely, has struggled away from Angel Stadium. Rendon is slugging an anemic .325 in 21 road games with an OPS of .733. Rendon will have, however, an intriguing matchup against Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw on Friday. Rendon has a career .300 average against Kershaw in limited at-bats and is slugging .571 against left-handed pitching this season.
