Ramon Laureano Breaks Slump With Three RBI
4 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a home run in a win over the Dodgers Wednesday. Laureano broke an 0-for-14 slump he was on entering the game as his batting average has sunk to .218. He's still getting on-base at a .346 rate thanks to strong plate-discipline metrics but he hasn't been overly productive other than that as he sports a sub-.400 slugging percentage. He's a fine starter in OBP-leagues with some good matchups vs the Mariners this weekend, but he should be left on waivers in shallower leagues or those that use batting average.
