Ryan Blaney In A Must-Win Situation At Bristol
4 years agoPenske Racing's Ryan Blaney will fire off from the 14th starting position in Saturday night's Bass Pro Shops/NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Blaney and the No. 12 team have disappointed in the playoffs, including getting a points penalty for a pre-race infraction at Darlington. Blaney is now in a must-win situation to move on to the next round. Luckily for Blaney, Bristol has been one of his best tracks. While Blaney hasn't always finished where he deserved, he has run up front in almost every race since joining Penske. In those five starts, Blaney has three top-10 finishes and has led 100 or more laps in three of the five events. The two races Blaney didn't finish in the top-10, he wrecked out while leading. Blaney's salary in DFS is just above-average. Blaney has a nice position differential upside and will be aggressive in his quest to punch his ticket to the next round of the playoffs.
