Denny Hamlin Starts Seventh At Bristol
4 years agoJoe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin will roll off from the seventh position in Saturday night's Bass Pro Shops/NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Hamlin and the No. 11 team look to get back on track after a couple of finishes outside of the top-10. In 29 career starts at BMS, Hamlin has collected two wins, nine top-fives, and 14 top-10 finishes. Hamlin won last year's night race at Bristol and was leading late in May before overdriving a corner and smacking the wall. Hamlin led 131 laps in that race. Hamlin's salary in DFS is astronomical, making him a tough driver to select as the remainder of lineups would be hampered. Hamlin is certainly one of the favorites to win and could dominate this race, but anything other than a commanding performance would not be worth the price.
