Larry Fitzgerald A WR3/Flex Option In PPR In Week 2
4 years agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald caught four of his five targets for 34 yards in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers. He was tied for second on the team in targets with Christian Kirk and running back Chase Edmonds. The team's No. 1 receiver, DeAndre Hopkins, soaked up a team-high 16 targets in the game. Fitzgerald averaged just 8.5 yards per reception in Week 1. He's the team's primary slot receiver and will be mostly looked at for short gains throughout the year. In PPR leagues, he has a relatively safe floor as he should regularly catch around four or five passes, but his ceiling is limited unless we see him become a frequent end zone target. He's worthy of starting as a WR3 or flex in PPR leagues in Week 2 against the Washington Football Team, but he should be avoided in non-PPR.
