David Montgomery A Risky RB2 Option
4 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery will go up against a Giants Defense that allowed 141 rushing yards to the Steelers in Week 1. Montgomery came into the opener questionable with a groin injury but looked fairly healthy against Lions while leading the team with 13 carries for 64 yards. The Giants can certainly be beaten on the ground and allowed almost a 75% completion percentage to running backs last season. But Montgomery will have to compete for carries with teammates Tarik Cohen and Cordarrelle Patterson. Montgomery is worth a FLEX play but banking on him to post RB2 numbers will be a risky proposition.
