D'Andre Swift Hopes To Put Debut Behind Him
4 years agoDetroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift will try and put last week behind him when the team takes on the Packers in Week 2. It was an NFL debut to forget, posting only 23 all-purpose yards and dropping the game-winning touchdown with :06 left to play against the Bears. The drop cost the Lions the game and now must face a Packers team that just put 43 points up against the Vikings. Green Bay did a solid job of bottling up star running back Dalvin Cook in Week 1 and allowed the 11th fewest fantasy points to opposing runners in 2019. Swift has plenty of talent but now must fight for touches with veteran runner Adrian Peterson. The rookie deserves to be rostered in most formats but should be on the bench in Week 2 until his playing time solidifies.
