Jake Lamb Set For Oakland Debut Monday
4 years agoOakland Athletics third baseman/designated hitter Jake Lamb will make his club debut during the second game of Monday’s doubleheader against Seattle, holding down the DH slot. With Matt Chapman (hip) out for the remainder of the season, and Chad Pinder (hamstring) sidelined, the A’s will likely need help elsewhere at the hot corner. After being released by Arizona on Saturday, Lamb brings his .116/.240/.140 slash line to the A’s. An All-Star back in 2017, Lamb has compiled a .637 OPS in 152 games since, limiting his season-long appeal while he finds his footing in the club’s starting nine.
