4 years agoWashington Nationals left-handed pitcher Sean Doolittle recorded just one out in relief Thursday against Atlanta before departing with what appeared to be a side/oblique ailment. Doolittle had notched holds in each of his last two appearances, not having allowed an earned run in any of his last six outings. Snakebitten by injuries in 2020, Doolittle’s ailments have paved the way for Daniel Hudson to take over closer’s duties. Even should his latest injury not prove to merit a stint on the injured list, Doolittle’s fantasy value has likely dipped below the point of season-long consideration over the final two-plus weeks of the year.--Jesse Borek
