Jimmy Garoppolo Has Sneaky Week 1 Upside
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo might have a hobbled and questionable set of receivers going into Week 1, but he still finds himself in a relatively promising position. This Sunday, Garoppolo faces an Arizona Cardinals Defense that was atrocious against the pass last year, allowing 281.9 passing yards per game, second-worst in the league. Garoppolo should be able to connect with George Kittle on demand and then find additional production through an assortment of receivers and pass-catching running backs. In a game that could very well be high-scoring, Garoppolo could end up producing a low-end QB1 or high-end QB2 week. Start him if you don't feel great about your other options.
