4 years agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez (eye) has been on the Injured List since August 18 due to left eye central serous chorioretinopathy, which has made his vision blurry. However, he's started to take some positive steps toward a return. On Sunday, he took live at-bats at the Royals' alternate site. There's hope amongst the Royals organization that he could rejoin the team by next weekend. Perez was having a solid year prior to the injury, slashing .307/.326/.511 through 22 games.
