Rafael Devers Showing Decreased Production Across The Board
4 years agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers had a breakout season in 2019, slashing .311/.361/.555 with 32 home runs, 115 RBI and 129 runs scored. This year, however, he has a slash line of .252/.310/.465 with seven home runs, 25 RBI and 23 runs through 39 games. His hard-hit rate reached 48.4% last year, but it's just 40%, a career-low, this season. He's also striking out 26.8% of the time this year, well above his rate from last year (17%). Fantasy owners should keep Devers in their lineup going forward, but don't expect the Devers from last year to finish out this season. He will likely fall a bit in fantasy drafts come Spring 2021.
