Nolan Arenado In Midst Of Home Run Drought
4 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado is currently in the midst of a rare, prolonged home run drought. His last home run came on August 20, making it now 14 games without a home run for the star Rockies slugger. Arenado is slugging just .445 on the year, well below last year's clip (.583) as well as his career slugging percentage (.542). His hard-hit rate (33.8%) and barrel-rate (5.9%) this year are substantially down from last year - 37.6% and 8%, respectively. Fantasy owners shouldn't panic despite the struggles. Arenado should still provide sturdy power production over the season's final month, but he may find himself dropping in drafts come 2021 draft season.
