Larry Fitzgerald Sitting Out Practice For Rest
4 years agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (rest) has been sidelined for practice lately to allow him to rest up for the start of the year. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said that Fitzgerald has been asking for permission to practice but Kingsbury has wanted to keep him on the sidelines as the veteran receiver doesn't have anything new he needs to learn with the offense. It sounds like Fitzgerald will be set to return to practice next week, which should have him ready to play Week 1. Fitzgerald turned 37 in August, so it's no surprise that the team is being a bit cautious with his workload. While Fitzgerald should see somewhere around 100 targets this year, his teammates DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk have the higher upside from a fantasy perspective. Fitzgerald is a fine late round pick in deep PPR leagues, but in all other leagues, he can remain undrafted.
