Raheem Mostert Figures To Be Lead Back To Start The Year
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert broke out in a big way for the team during the second half of last season. He scored rushing touchdowns in each of the team's last six games and went on to have a monster playoff game against the Green Bay Packers, rushing for 220 yards and four touchdowns. Mostert was the most effective rusher on the 49ers last year, averaging 5.6 yards per carry while totalling 772 rushing yards. Tevin Coleman is the top returning running back on the team. He averaged 4.0 yards per carry and totalled 544 rushing yards in 2019. Mostert will enter the year as the team's primary running back and if he can keep the role, he'll be a solid RB2 in non-PPR leagues and a capable low-end RB2 or flex in PPR.
