Raiders Trade Lynn Bowden Jr. To Dolphins
Lynn Bowden Jr. and a sixth-round pick to the Miami Dolphins for a fourth-round pick. Vegas is set at running back with Josh Jacobs and solid backups like Jalen Richard and Devontae Booker, while the Dolphins have spent the past few seasons struggling with their running back position. Bowden will compete with Jordan Howard and Matt Breida for snaps. While he's not likely to be a strong fantasy play out of the gate, he does limit the upside of Howard and Breida and makes Patrick Laird and Myles Gaskins expendable.

Lynn Bowden Could Step Up In Banged-Up Receiver Room
Lynn Bowden filled in for an injured Rashid Shaheed (thigh) last week, taking slot receiver snaps and factoring into the rushing game on two carries for 40 yards. With Shaheed logging back-to-back DNPs at practice this week, his status for Sunday is in doubt, meaning that Bowden could again see some usage. The 26-year-old journeyman receiver should only be rostered in the deepest of leagues but could be considered as a desperation flex play against a Detroit secondary surrendering the fourth-most points per game to opposing receivers. Monitor the statuses of Chris Olave (concussion protocol) and Shaheed before making a tough call to place Bowden in lineups against Detroit.

Patriots Sign Lynn Bowden Jr. To Futures Deal
Lynn Bowden Jr. to a Reserve/Futures deal for the 2023 season. Bowden spent the 2022 campaign on the team's practice squad and was active in Week 9 against the Indianapolis Colts, but he played only 14 offensive snaps and wasn't targeted at all. The former third-round pick by the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020 was eventually traded to the Miami Dolphins. In 10 games for the Dolphins in 2020, Bowden caught 28 of 37 targets for 211 yards and no touchdowns. The 25-year-old will remain in New England this year and will compete for an active roster spot this summer.

Patriots Sign Lynn Bowden Jr. To The Practice Squad
Lynn Bowden Jr. to their practice squad on Thursday, according to a source. Bowden was one of the most versatile players in the country during his time at Kentucky, and he was a third-round pick by the Raiders in 2020. Despite his versatility, the 24-year-old hasn't been able to stick in the NFL yet and had 28 catches (37 targets) for 211 yards and no touchdowns in his only action for Miami in 2020. Head coach Bill Belichick could find some interesting ways to use Bowden, but for now he'll just serve as wideout depth behind Jakobi Meyers, DeVante Parker, Kendrick Bourne, Nelson Agholor and special teams ace Matthew Slater.

Lynn Bowden Jr. Let Go By Dolphins
Lynn Bowden Jr. on Tuesday, according to a source. Bowden has plenty of versatility as a running back, slot receiver and kick returner, but the Dolphins just didn't have room for him after adding Tyreek Hill and Cedrick Wilson Jr. in the offseason. The 24-year-old will surely latch on with another organization as a special teams asset, at the very least. The former third-rounder in 2020 didn't see the field at all last season, but he caught 28 of 37 targets for 211 yards and no touchdowns in 10 games (four starts) for the Dolphins in his rookie season after being acquired from the Las Vegas Raiders.
