Kyle Busch Starts 15th At Darlington
4 years agoJoe Gibbs Racing's Kyle Busch will take the green flag from the 15th position in Sunday's Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Busch, the defending Cup Series champion, is still winless in 2020 and will need to make up some serious ground, only starting the playoffs with three playoff points. In the May doubleheader, Busch ran very well in both races at Darlington. Late issues relegated Busch to a 26th-place finish in race one, but Busch was runner-up in race two, despite contact with Chase Elliott. In 17 career starts at Darlington, Busch has a victory and 11 top-10 finishes. Busch is expensive, but not the highest-priced driver in DFS. His starting position also gives him a nice opportunity to turn in a positive position differential. While 2020 has been a struggle, Busch will fight hard to defend his title and should have a solid run on Sunday night.
