Mitchell Trubisky Wins Starting Job
4 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky is expected to be named the starter for Week 1, per ESPN's Adam Shefter. The veil of mystery has been lifted as the fourth-year passer holds onto the starting role, at least for now. The Bears acquired Nick Foles via trade in the offseason and the competition throughout camp was reportedly very close. But sources note Trubisky's preparation, leadership and performance were enough to edge out Foles. Trubisky currently sits outside the top-20 among fantasy quarterbacks but will have an enticing matchup against the Lions in Week 1, a team that Trubisky has enjoyed great success against in the past.
