Todd Gurley II Expected To See 15-25 Touches Per Game
4 years agoAtlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter sees 15 to 25 touches per game for new running back Todd Gurley II this year, provided his left knee remains healthy. Gurley is currently on a load-management plan in training camp and didn't have a heavy workload in the team's scrimmage on Monday. Gurley's fantasy stock has fallen due to knee issues in recent seasons, but he still ran for 857 yards and added 31 catches for 207 yards and 14 total touchdowns in his final season with the Rams. He averaged 16.9 touches per game in 2019, which was off his career average of 20.3. Gurley played in 15 games last year, but he'll also be playing half his games in 2020 on turf. The Falcons like what they've seen from Gurley in training camp. In an offense that can put up plenty of points, Gurley could come at a nice value as a high-end RB2 in his first year in Atlanta.
