Nick Foles (QB, CHI) - 2020 Fantasy Football Draft Sleeper

Chicago Bears quarterback (QB) Nick Foles is a fantasy football sleeper and ADP value for the 2020 season. We break down his value in fantasy drafts.

BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~170 Overall

CURRENT ADP: 180+ (Undrafted)

ANALYSIS: Nick Foles has pretty much seen it all in his eight years in the NFL after being taken in the third round by the Eagles in 2012 out of Arizona. He was a Pro Bowler in his second season, looked like he was about ready to wash out of the league in one-year stints with the Rams and Chiefs, and then guided the Eagles to an improbable Super Bowl victory over the Patriots and was named the MVP.

Last year he was a massive free-agent bust for the Jaguars after breaking his collarbone in Week 1. Foles played in just four games and was benched in favor of a rookie QB upon his return.

The 31-year-old has new life after a trade to Chicago, where he's inching closer to dethrone Mitchell Trubisky as the Bears starter come kickoff. It is hard to believe there is a truly open QB competition with Mitchell Trubisky--the long-time Bear should still be trusted at least for the first few weeks before hitting the bench--but odds are Foles will eventually (no later than Week 3 or 4, most probably) get the starting nod.

Foles has a bigger arm and more upside than Trubisky, but he also has familiarity with head coach Matt Nagy and most of his offensive staff from his days with the Eagles and Chiefs. Because Chicago may not officially name Foles the starter until the end of the preseason, he is being absolutely overlooked in drafts this summer.

With an ADP of QB54, calling Foles "overlooked" or "undervalued" is already praising him. He's absolutely forgotten. But if you play in a deeper league or plan on streaming the position and can get him for close to nothing he might turn into one of the surprises of the year and the ultimate sleeper. It's probably going to be out of his control first (Trubisky probably starts the season as the starter) but look at what happened with Tannehill in Tennessee last year. Wouldn't you like to have that type of player in your roster?
