The Miami Dolphins informed running back Kalen Ballage of his release on Wednesday, according to a source. The 2018 fourth-round pick ran the ball 74 times for just 135 yards last season. That comes out to a putrid 1.8 yards per carry in 2019. With Jordan Howard and Matt Breida set to split carries in Miami's backfield this year, Ballage was simply not needed. The Dolphins also have Patrick Laird and Myles Gaskin for running back depth. In his rookie season in 2018, Ballage carried the ball 36 times for 191 yards and a touchdown in 12 games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
