Fernando Tatis Jr. Leads League In Home Runs And RBI
4 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. is emerging as an NL MVP candidate due to his scorching start to the 2020 season. Tatis currently leads the majors in both home runs (12) and RBI (29) and he's tied with Mike Yastrzemski for the league lead in runs (29). Tatis has a .301 batting average and a ridiculous 1.032 OPS on the year. He ranks amongst the top 1% of the league in hard-hit rate (62.1%) and amongst the top 2% of the league in barrel rate (19.5%). He's emerging as an elite fantasy player this year and it appears likely that he'll be in consideration for a top pick come 2021 draft season.
