Taylor Rogers Picks Up Second Consecutive Save
4 years agoMinnesota Twins closer Taylor Rogers worked through an easy ninth inning against the Indians to earn his seventh save of the season. He's had a few rough spots, as evidenced by his 4.76 earned run average, though he has 14 strikeouts to just one walk and ranks third in the MLB in saves. Sergio Romo is a bit of a threat to steal saves here and there, but not enough to really worry Rogers' owners, so long as he keeps holding down the ninth inning. Unfortunately, Rogers won't be out there on Tuesday if there's a save situation, considering he's pitched two days in a row. Someone not named Rogers or Romo will be working the ninth on Tuesday, if needed.
