David Montgomery Looking "A Step Quicker"
4 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery has looked "a step quicker," according to Bears beat writer Adam Hoge. Montgomery came into camp leaner, and the burst of extra explosion has been noticeable. The second-year running back has a lot to prove after an up-and-down rookie season that produced 1,074 all-purpose yards and seven total touchdowns. But he averaged only 3.7 yards per carry last season, including an average of three or less yards in a single game eight times. The entire Bears offense struggled last season, and the key may be getting Montgomery going. The second-year back will carry decent but risky RB2 value heading into drafts.
