Cowboys Have Discussed Earl Thomas
4 years agoDallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said that he's discussed free-agent safety Earl Thomas with vice president of player personnel Will McClay, but he didn't have anything further to report. McCarthy also said he's "very confident" in the team's current 80-man roster. Thomas was released by the Ravens on Sunday for conduct detrimental to the team. He was sent home from practice early on Friday after getting into a fight with Chuck Clark. The 31-year-old former Pro Bowler should latch on elsewhere with a handful of other teams already interested in him. The Cowboys would likely be a preferred destination for Thomas since he played his college ball at the University of Texas.
