Washington Nationals outfielder Victor Robles had considerable fantasy pomp coming into the year due to the blend of power (53 extra-base hits) and speed (28 steals) that he showcased last season. But through his first 20 games of 2020, that same production has been severely lacking. Despite a 28.1 ft/s sprint speed that ranks above average, Robles has only attempted one steal all year, in which he was caught. The power has dissipated as well, with just three doubles and one home run entering play Saturday. Oddly enough, his OPS+ has actually risen from 2019 to this point, which is an indicator that Robles may find his level over 162 games -- although that’s not an option this year. Despite the pre-season investment that many made for the 23-year-old, his season-long potential has fallen by the wayside and he should only be an option in keepers formats or deep leagues.--Jesse Borek

MLB.com's Daniel Kramer reports that Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (shoulder) is heading to the 10-day injured list on Monday due to a left-shoulder injury that he suffered in Sunday's loss to the San Francisco Giants. Robles is undergoing an MRI exam to determine the severity of his shoulder injury, at which point we should have a better idea of how much time he might have to miss. The 27-year-old sold out to make a fantastic play in the ninth inning on Sunday, but he paid the price. Dominic Canzone is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move, but the left-handed-hitting Luke Raley figures to benefit the most from extra playing time in right field with Robles on the shelf. After breaking out with the M's in 77 games in 2024, Robles was hitting .273 (12-for-44) with three doubles, three RBI and three steals in his first 10 games in 2024.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (wrist) made an incredible catch while colliding with the netting in the ninth inning of Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Giants but injured himself in the process. He immediately went down in pain and had to be carted off the field. There has been no official injury designation yet from the team, but he appeared to be holding his left wrist as he left the game. It's unfortunate news for the speedy outfielder, who put it all on the line to make one of the best catches of the season. He was batting .273 with three RBI, three runs, and three stolen bases so far in 2025. Expect updates from the Mariners in the coming days with more details about the severity of the injury.--Jeremy Heist - RotoBaller

Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (hand) got the start in right field and was batting leadoff for Monday's Cactus League game against the San Diego Padres. Robles is back in action to begin the week after he was pulled from Saturday's exhibition game early against the Chicago White Sox when he was hit by a pitch on the right hand. Thankfully, the 27-year-old avoided any broken bones and will be ready for Opening Day this Thursday against the division-rival Athletics. The Dominican outfielder came alive last year after being traded from the Washington Nationals to Seattle, as he slashed .328/.393/.467 with an .860 OPS, four home run, 26 RBI and 30 steals in 77 games for the M's. Fantasy managers shouldn't be banking on a repeat for Robles over a full season, especially since he has limited power, but his speed should play in at least deep-mixed leagues out of the leadoff spot in Seattle.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles' (hand) X-rays were deemed negative. Though he is not in the lineup on Sunday, he's hitting in the cages, per Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com. Robles left Saturday's outing against the Chicago White Sox after getting plunked in the hand with a pitch and looked to be seriously hurting. Fortunately, it appears he can be considered day-to-day. The 27-year-old was a different player last season upon his arrival to Seattle, hitting an eye-popping .328 with 30 steals after the move. Robles is currently hovering around the top 200 picks off the board (~OF30) and projects to give fantasy managers the most considerable boost in the average and steals categories.--Alex Ciulla
