Jimmie Johnson Has His Best Shot To Win At Dover
4 years agoHendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson will start from the sixth position in Saturday's Drydene 311 (Race 1) at Dover International Speedway. After a horrendous two-month stretch for Johnson and the No. 48 team, signs of improvement have been shown in the past four races. Johnson has finished no worse than 12th and scored his first top-five since Bristol, with a fourth-place finish at the Daytona Road Course, last week. Johnson now heads to Dover, his best track on the circuit, looking for that win to put him in the playoffs in his final year. Johnson's record at Dover is just ridiculous. In 36 starts, Johnson has 11 wins, a win rate of 30.6 percent, 17 top-fives, and 25 top-10 finishes. Johnson doesn't have any position differential upside but comes at a below-average cost in DFS. With his record at the track and the recent wave of momentum the team is riding, Johnson is a solid pick for lineups.
