Don't call it a comeback! The clock hasn't struck midnight on me quite yet, as Billy Horschel was able to net nearly $700,000 at the Wyndham Championship. Both Josh and I will need a Herculian effort if we want to catch Joe down the stretch, who has not only built a substantial lead but also has the pieces to close the show. However, the start had to happen somewhere, and it didn't hurt matters that Rose missed the cut for our current leader.
There are a lot of options to be had this week at the Northern Trust, so let's see who the boys will be rolling with at the first FedExCup playoff start.

One and Done Selections - Northern Trust
Joe Nicely - Patrick Reed
Alternate - Adam Scott
Well...I had a comfortable lead in this contest for all of one week. The Wyndham turned out to be disastrous for Team J-Nice, as my pick Justin Rose sleepwalked to a missed cut, while Spencer and Josh both had players that did very well.
It’s time to refocus as we head into the first event of the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Playoffs and there is no shortage of options this week in The Northern Trust at TPC Boston. I find myself being drawn to a player that I rarely roster in DFS and am always reluctant to utilize in any PGA format. Patrick Reed is a guy that I can never fully put a finger on statistically, which makes it tough for me to ever feel totally confident in him. That’s where I am again this week, but I’m gonna pull the trigger on P-Reed nevertheless, as I love both his current form and course history at TPC Boston.
Yes, there are better players still available to me, and yes, this is a huge prize pool...but the 2018 Masters champion is a gut call that I’m going to roll with this week and one that I hope will help me stretch my lead in our RotoBaller OAD contest.

Alternate - Jon Rahm
Roll out the red carpet, you better believe I am taking in every moment as if I am a young Prince Naseem Hamed entering the ring for a championship fight. The cards might be stacked against me having an actual chance to overtake Joe before this season comes to an end, but you better believe I will be swinging for the fence and hoping to land a haymaker with the man that can get the job done with one shot.
Jason Day is the former top-ranked player in the world for a reason, and the eight titles that he captured between 2015-2016 don't suddenly become obsolete. TPC Boston is a venue where Day has provided eight top-25s since 2010, and the win that has alluded him feels as if it is around the corner.
Call it needing a little help or whatever you would like, but I can't think of a better golfer to select when you are in need of some magic. The comeback needs to start right now, and I am ready to blast off to infinity and beyond!

Another week, another course that favors the elite iron players. Adam Scott has been one of the best ball-strikers on Tour in his career, and since I've used up many of the other great iron players already, it's his time for me. The only concern with Adam is his putting. The good news is that the greens are pretty small, so most of his putts will be from closer distances than usual and the putting issues will hopefully be minimized. We've seen this year already if he has a couple good rounds of putting he has the game to win in any field and he's got a great chance to do that again this week.
