Cole Hamels Not Close To Resuming Throwing
4 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Cole Hamels (triceps) is still "a ways away" from throwing off of a mound, according to team manager Brian Snitker. The veteran left-hander is suffering from tendinitis in his left triceps. Hamels has been sidelined with the ailment since early July, and there is no guarantee he will be able to make an appearance in the shortened season. Fantasy managers are probably safe to drop the 36-year-old if they need to open up a roster spot.
