Denny Hamlin Starts Second At The Daytona Road Course
4 years agoJoe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin will start from the second position in Sunday's Go Bowling 235 at the Daytona International Speedway Road Course. Hamlin and the No. 11 team had a strong weekend at Michigan, but ultimately just fell short of reaching victory lane. While Hamlin only has one career road course win, and a modest record at road courses throughout his Cup Series career, Hamlin has been much improved in recent years. In the 10 road course races run since 2016, Hamlin has a win and six top-five finishes. Hamlin is a cheaper high-end option in DFS, but will not have any upside, starting on the front row. Hamlin has the ability to win this race, but with no experience at the road course layout, Hamlin is a tougher lineup choice.
