The PGA RotoBaller staff digs into their One and Done selections for the Wyndham Championship. Here are some under the radar plays and picks for this week's event.

Well, well, well...my guy Collin Morikawa came through HUGE last week at the PGA Championship! With the win, the young star grabbed his first major championship and deposited almost $2 million into my OAD account, enough to give me a lead in this contest over Spencer and Josh. The guys both had very solid picks at the PGA, with both Brooks (Josh) and Daniel Berger (Spencer) right in the thick of things heading into the final round, before ultimately dropping down the leaderboard slightly.
We head from the high-flying PGA Championship to the North Carolina-based Wyndham Championship. Player selection will be tougher this week, as this field pales in comparison to some that we've seen over the last few weeks. It will be interesting to see who the guys are rolling with. Let's dive in!

One and Done Selections - Wyndham Championship
Joe Nicely - Justin Rose

Ok...now we're talking! I made a "feel it in my heart" pick with Collin Morikawa last week and the young star was able to win his first major at the PGA Championship. His victory was enough to give me a lead in this OAD contest for perhaps the first time all season. So while I've grown accustomed to taking some calculated risks with my picks over the last several months, I'm now in the (strange) position of leading this thing.
I don't think my newfound lead has a huge impact on this week's selection, as the Wyndham field doesn't exactly present us with tons of juicy options. Kudos to those that still have Webb Simpson available to them in OAD contests, as Webb at Sedgefield is the very definition of a "no brainer". Unfortunately, I don't have Simpson left this week, so I'm forced to go with another veteran in Justin Rose.
Rose has been plagued by inconsistency not only over the past 18 months, but especially since the restart. He came out of the layoff firing at the Charles Schwab and the RBC Heritage, only to look like a totally different player in subsequent starts. The Englishman once again looked solid at last week's PGA Championship en route to a top-10 finish. I'll try to ride that momentum this week at Sedgefield, a layout that demands fairways, greens, and birdies. It should be a great fit for Rose, a player who is almost to volatile for me to use in a "big payday" event.

Spencer Aguiar - Billy Horschel
Alternate - Harris English
Well, things are going to get a little slippery here for a bit. I need to figure out a plan to close this gap quickly after Joe was able to connect on Collin Morikawa at the PGA Championship, but the cards may not be in my favor with a limited amount of tournaments left on the schedule.
Patrick Reed would be my preferred selection if I had a full arsenal of golfers at my disposal, but I am going to have to deviate away from that plan and try to land on someone that I think might have higher win equity than expected. Harris English doesn't quite fit the bill with no victories on the PGA Tour in seven years, so I will instead pivot onto Billy Horschel, who might be itching for a win of his own after failing to find the winner's circle since 2018.
Horschel is a premier Bermuda putter that brings with him four top-45 finishes in a row, and it doesn't hurt that the Florida native has finished inside the top-11 of this event three of the past four years. I'm going to need a little luck at this point, but I could be doing a lot worse than Horschel as the man to try and get this train rolling.

Josh Bennett - Paul Casey
Alternate - Joaquin Niemann
For the 10th week this season, my pick of the week is.. Webb Simpson! If only Joe and Spencer allowed that. Since I can’t go there, I’m going to go with another elite iron player in the field: Paul Casey. We’ve seen in prior years that it’s the really good iron players that typically do well in this event, and there isn’t a better one (statistically this year by SG: Approach) in this field than Paul Casey. He had struggled since the restart, but his irons have not been the problem and he looks to have found form in the rest of his game after a 2nd place finish last week at the PGA Championship. He’s always a volatile player especially because of his putting, but it is a good time to roll him at a place where his elite iron play alone should keep him in contention. He’s shown he can do that here before as well with a 3rd place finish in 2015 and two other top 20 finishes since 2014. IF he can roll in a few putts, he has the potential to even run away with this thing.
