Edwin Encarnacion Out Of Lineup Again On Thursday
4 years agoChicago White Sox designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion (shoulder) will be sidelined for the second straight game on Thursday while he nurses a sore left shoulder. The injury doesn't appear to be anything serious and the team seems optimistic that he'll be back this weekend. Zack Collins is getting the start at designated hitter in place of Encarnacion on Thursday and hitting eighth in the game. Encarnacion is 6-for-30 with a home run on the year. He has 13 strikeouts compared with just one walk, which is a bit concerning, but he should still provide plenty of power for his owners when he returns.
