Tonight, we have a four-game slate as we have two matches in the LPL and two in the LCK. We have a few tight spreads tonight as it should be an interesting slate. As always, I am going to do my best to give you high-quality analysis and actionable advice for tomorrow morning's DFS slate.
Today I'll be providing my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LCK/LPL slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 4:00 AM on Friday, August 7th, 2020. If you're not already, then make sure you follow me on Twitter @Hofferkid!
LCK Matches
Afreeca Freecs (-345) vs. Team Dynamics
Afreeca comes in looking to hold onto that 5th playoff spot while TD finds themselves on the outside looking in. TD has the better first turret rate while AF has the better first blood percentage. TD also has very minor advantages in all three of the neutral objectives (dragons, heralds, barons).
Last time these two teams met AF took it 2-1. I look for them to sweep here and take this one 2-0. The BOT lane of Mystic and Ben is my favorite spot here as they should control the laning phase early and carry that advantage into the mid/late game. Fly would be my third favorite option here on this squad. I look to full four-man stack the side of AF on this slate as I believe they go majorly under-owned as a full stack as people will flock to the more likely sweeps of KT and JDG.
The pick: Freecs, 2-0
Top AF plays:
- Mystic - ADC
- Fly - MID
- Spirit - JNG
- Ben - SUP
KT Rolster (-500) vs. Hanwha Life Esports
KT needs a win here to remain in the playoff race, while HLE is one of the two bottom feeders of this league only having one win this split. As you would expect, KT holds the better first turret and first blood rates. They also hold large advantages in all three of the neutral objectives. HLE is just awful, there is now other way around it. This should be an easy sweep for KT here, but I personally do not plan on full stacking them as i see this being a low-kill match. Last time these two met it was a 27 kill sweep by KT, I expect a similar outcome today. Aiming and the Team Slot are my two favorite spots on this KT team.
The pick: KT, 2-0
Top KT plays:
- Aiming - ADC
- KT Team Slot
- BonO - JNG

LPL Matches
Suning Gaming (-200) vs. Vici Gaming
Suning sits at 10-4 and have had a great split improving in a big way from Spring. Vici has had their typical 7-7 split and have already been eliminated from playoffs. VG has slight advantages in both first turret and first blood percentages. Suning holds the edge in dragon and baron rates, with VG having better herald control.
I think motivation will play a factor in this one, and that is one of the reasons I’m taking Suning to win here, 2-0. Suning very rarely sweeps but if they do as I think they can here, the ceiling is high. Anytime huanfeng is on a slate, he must be in captain consideration. the JNG/MID duo of Sofm and Angel both hold a KP of over 70%. Playing Suning over JDG will provide leverage, and I may just take that route myself.
The pick: Suning, 2-0
Top SN plays:
- huanfeng - ADC
- Sofm - JNG
- SwordArt - SUP
- Angel - MID
JD Gaming (-700) vs. Oh My God
JDG is in a three-way battle for the first seed in playoffs. Meanwhile, OMG is eliminated but are coming off an upset win over WE. JDG has the first turret edge with OMG holding the better first blood percentage. OMG has the better herald control, but JDG hold better dragon and baron rates. JDG is much better than OMG early, and pretty much every stage of the game. The BOT lane duo of LokeN and LvMao have the best individual lane match-up here and both of them also hold a KP% in the low 70s. JDG should sweep here and they will be the chalk stack of the night. Fading them is scary, but going for a small stack or one-off would definitely make you contrarian. OMG has given up some very high kill games in the past this split. JDG is likely your safest option on the slate.
The pick: JDG, 2-0
Top JDG plays:
- LokeN - ADC
- Kanavi - JNG
- Zoom - TOP
- LvMao - SUP
- Yagao - MID
Summary
- JDG is my favorite stack of the night but likely the chalkiest, AF and Suning are better ownership plays. KT feels like a very low-kill match, but a sweep is very likely.
- My favorite captain plays are Kanavi, Yagao, and Mystic.
