Jesus Luzardo Tosses A Gem In First MLB Start
4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo was very impressive in his first MLB start on Tuesday against the Texas Rangers. Luzardo went five innings, allowing only two hits, while walking two and striking out five in the A's 5-1 win. Luzardo, who topped out with an electric 97-98 mph, did not factor into the decision. The 22-year-old southpaw should be owned across all fantasy formats after posting a 1.50 ERA and 16 strikeouts through 12 innings in relief in his 2019 rookie season. Although Luzardo will next face the Astros in a difficult matchup, owners should be confident keeping him active on all rosters.
