Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Jay Bruce went 1-for-2 with two walks and a home run in a loss to the Yankees Monday. Bruce took Gerrit Cole deep to lead off the third inning to account for the only offense the Phillies could muster vs the Yankees ace. Bruce's days as a fantasy asset are behind him as he batted just .216 last season with a microscopic .261 on-base percentage. He does still have power, he popped 26 homers in 98 games last season, but fantasy owners should look for someone with more overall upside if looking for cheap power on the waiver wire.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
