J.P. Crawford Lifted Early During Monday's Game
4 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford was lifted in the eighth inning during the team's game versus the Athletics on Monday. Crawford fouled a ball off his knee the night previous, and with the score at 10-1, he was removed as a precaution. The minor ailment doesn't seem anywhere near significant, and he should be available for Tuesday's game against the Angels. Crawford is off to a hot start this year, hitting .308 with four RBI, 11 runs, and two thefts as the M's leadoff hitter. The former top prospect has failed to live up to expectations as a big-leaguer, but he's worth riding while he's hot in the shortened season.
