Logan Webb Gets The Nod Friday
Logan Webb will start Friday night's game versus the Texas Rangers. The right-hander held his own in his season debut versus the Dodgers, allowing one run over four innings while striking out two. He struggled in eight starts with the club in 2019, but posted sterling results over his Double-A career. He's not a recommended redraft option, but he could have some streamer appeal tonight since the Rangers are last in the league in batting average versus righties (.161).

Logan Webb Fans 12 In Tough-Luck Loss
Logan Webb was brilliant in defeat on Friday, allowing one run over six innings in a tough 2-0 loss against the Los Angeles Angels. Webb struck out 12 while allowing just four hits and walking none in this one. His changeup was electric in this one, generating 11 whiffs on 14 swings. The 28-year-old has been excellent this season, pitching to a 2.40 ERA and 1.03 WHIP with 38 strikeouts in 30 IP. While his numbers will likely regress a bit, it looks like Webb will once again be a stable rotation piece in fantasy that provides good ratios and strikeouts.

Logan Webb Strikes Out 10 In No-Decision On Monday
Logan Webb twirled a gem in a 2-0 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Monday. Webb threw seven innings of shutout ball, striking out 10 while scattering four hits but had to settle for a no-decision after Cincy starter Hunter Greene outdueled him. Webb is off to a fantastic start in 2025, posting a 1-0 record, 1.89 ERA, and 21 strikeouts over 19 innings of work spanning three starts. The veteran hurler is a must-start in fantasy whenever he takes the mound, although he faces a challenge coming up as he is slated to face off against the New York Yankees on the road on Sunday.

Logan Webb Tosses Seven Innings Of One-Run Ball
Logan Webb allowed just one run with five hits and no walks across seven innings en route to defeating the Houston Astros. He tallied six punchouts. His lone blemish came in the fourth inning when Jose Altuve hit a solo shot. This was a strong bounce-back for Webb as he allowed six hits and three earned runs over five frames in his first start of the campaign against the Cincinnati Reds. Last season, the 28-year-old logged 204 1/4 innings and held a 3.47 ERA with a 1.23 WHIP. He tallied 173 punchouts but was able to generate ground balls at an elite 57.2 percent rate. Since 2022, Webb has been a true workhorse, logging at least 192 innings in each campaign. Webb is tentatively scheduled to get a rematch against the Reds, who gave him trouble on Opening Day in his next start.

Logan Webb Named Opening Day Starter
Logan Webb as the team's Opening Day starter on March 27 against the Cincinnati Reds. Webb has made at least 32 starts for the Giants in each of the last three seasons and is coming off his first All-Star appearance after going 13-10 with a 3.47 ERA (2.95 FIP) and 1.23 WHIP with 172 strikeouts and 50 walks in a league-high 204 2/3 innings covering 33 starts. The 28-year-old will have a difficult challenge on his hands in Cincinnati in a hitter-friendly ballpark, so he probably won't be thrown in too many DFS lineups. Webb is the only pitcher in baseball to exceed 200 innings each of the last two years, but his below-average 22.0% career strikeout rate makes him more of a No. 3 fantasy starter rather than an ace. He's still on the right side of 30, but his heavy workload over the last three years could start taking its toll sooner than later.
