BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 31% of leagues
ANALYSIS: San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Trevor Gott earned the first two save opportunities of the season for the team and converted both of them. He's clearly the team's primary closer at least for now. While the Giants don't figure to be in position to provide ample save opportunities, Gott is still someone who needs to be added in all leagues due to the scarcity of reliable save providers across the league right now. Having a sure thing closer on a bad team could be worth more than a partial closer amidst a committee on a good team.
The 27-year-old Gott doesn't have a particularly inspiring track record. Across six years in the majors, he has a 4.56 ERA and 1.31 WHIP with 7.5 K/9. However, as often the case is with closers, opportunity means more than skill. Take a flyer on Gott and see how long he can hold the job for.
